The friendly-faced elf is a staple of the season, appearing everywhere from our favorite movies to local Port Orange Parks! Just read on to see how to celebrate the holidays with elfish flair and delicious flavors, too.
Take an "elfie"
Never have we appreciated outdoor family fun more than this year! Here in Port Orange, one of our favorite holiday activities is continuing through New Year's Eve: the Elf Hunt. Look for elves in popular Port Orange destinations like Riverwalk Park, City Center Park and more. There are many to find, but you only need one to earn a fun goodie bag from Port Orange Parks and Recreation! Just be sure to snap a photo (or "elfie") of the hidden elves to capture the festive fun.
Have fun with elf crafts
Now is a great time to get crafty with the family! Help your child paste their face on a construction paper elf (complete with a fun-colored outfit and silly hat) for an elf-approved piece of art you'll cherish for many holidays to come. You can also add colorful paper to empty toilet paper rolls to create a collection of Santa's best helpers!
Dig in with flavorful, elf-approved fuel
As we learned in one of our favorite holiday movies, Elf, elves like to "stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup." If you want to dig in accordingly, Peach Valley Cafe Port Orange is here to help cross one of those essential food groups off your list! Enjoy warm syrup and powdered sugar served up on your go-to Belgian Waffle, Pancakes or French Toast for sweet, playful flavor - or try a spicy spin with Cajun syrup on our hearty Chicken & Waffles, a Southern favorite!
We hope that these ideas help you embrace your inner elf to the fullest, all holiday season long!
