Valentine’s Day is almost here! Port Orange families can celebrate with some outdoor fun at the 2^nd annual Love Is In The Air Craft and Vendor Event on Feb. 13 – the perfect place to score some Valentine’s Day gifts or simply browse beautiful designs against the sunny City Center backdrop.

Inspired by the artsy event, we’re feeling like crafting some Valentine’s goodies ourselves! Read on for a few fun ideas to try with your family this Valentine’s Day.

Festive Valentine’s mailbox

For kids, a festive Valentine’s Day mailbox can be a special way to contain candy and greetings from friends and family members! One of our favorite ideas is to simply take an empty tissue box and cover it in Valentine’s colors and fun messages.

DIY vase

Many kids like to give their mom, dad and other family members hand-picked flowers for this sweet holiday! A DIY vase can be a great way for them to give independently, even before they’re able to go shopping or pick out a vase themselves. You will just need an empty toilet paper roll, some cardstock, glitter and anything else that strikes your crafty fancy.

Punny, handmade cards

This fun craft is great for kids and kids-at-heart alike! Share punny handmade cards with friends for a custom, heartfelt message. A few of our favorite puns include…

These days we may not use actual cassette tapes anymore, but you can certainly still show your love with a meaningful digital playlist for your Valentine! They can be all-time favorite love songs, or simply songs that have a special shared meaning for you both.
